Movement Class - Kaeja Elevations with Phillip McDermott

We are super excited to welcome professional dancer Phillip McDermott to the Temenos Dance Collective to host a Kaeja Elevations class. Kaeja Elevations is an approach to partnering where participants from all experience levels are on an equal playing field. Momentum, anchoring, and the architectural structure of the body allow participants of all genders to soar through the air, defying expectations and moving beyond the limitations of typical partner work. Skills to be developed include multi-level movement, articulate and sophisticated response to the point of contact, lofting through propulsion, and weight transfer. After learning and experiencing the technique we apply the elevation work in contexts with a jam session. This class is for all levels and is a wonderful introduction into the world of Kaeja d'Dance.
